Dear colleagues,
The 10th biennial ISRS Congress represents not only another historical gathering of professionals in the field of Radiosurgery but as well the 20th Anniversary of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society, the host organization. As President of the ISRS, it is my pleasure to welcome you to this congress.
The first ever ISRS Congress was held in Europe (Sweden) in 1991 and has since travelled the globe, touching down Europe, America and Asia including host countries from Australia, to the USA to South Korea. For the 20th Anniversary celebration, we are happy to bring the ISRS Congress back to the European continent and we look to our colleagues in Paris, France with great anticipation as they prepare to host the 10th Biennial ISRS Congress.
The biennial congresses of the ISRS present the perfect opportunity to join the ever growing society of professionals in the field of Radiology. Membership to the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society includes numerous benefits including a significant reduction to the cost of registration to the biennial congress. There are also plenty of ways to interact virtually with fellow members leading up to the congress, allowing for more productive networking and interactions during the event itself. We recommend that you take this opportunity to become a member and look forward to meeting you May 8 - 12, 2011 in Paris, France.
Sincerely,

Dear colleagues
As Chairman of the 10th ISRS Congress it is an honor and a pleasure for me to welcome you in Paris, France, a truly global city rich in history and culture that never fails to impress and amaze visitors from all corners of the globe.
As with previous ISRS Congresses, the scientific committee promises a high quality, informative congress that will keep you up to date with the newest information and trends in the field. We have observed a vast and continuous evolution of Radiosurgery over the years and we are confident that this Congress will serve to further this development as neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, radiotherapists, and medical physicists come together for a unique opportunity to network, share ideas and learn from others’ experiences in a neutral environment.
While CNS will remain the primary focus of the congress, body surgery will also be included in the agenda as it was much appreciated by the participants during the biennial congress in Brussels in 2005 where I had the pleasure to chair the scientific committee. Building upon the success of previous congresses, we are certain that the 10th Biennial Congress and Exhibition of the International Stereotactic Society will be a great event, definitely one not to miss in 2011.
See you soon in Paris… à bientôt !

Jean Régis
Chairman ISRS 2011
